Hey! Cheer up! IT'S A SPECIAL DAY

National Doctors Day and Youth Pledge Day

National Doctors Day is an important day generally celebrated in health organizations to honor the services doctors have given to society and to individual life. These events are usually organized by staff at a health organization. National Doctor's Day in Indonesia is synonymous with the anniversary of the Indonesian Doctors Association (IDI), 24 October. To celebrate National Doctor's Day, doctors usually commemorate it by holding a series of activities related to health and medicine, such as free medical treatment, healthy exercise, free medical consultations, and various other activities.

As we know, doctors mean a lot to our lives, especially in this time of the coronavirus pandemic. Millions of people have died due to covid 19, and even now I don't know how many patients there are because so many have contracted the virus. nevertheless, the tireless doctors had succeeded in curing patients and the number of patients who had recovered continued to grow.

Therefore, I think we must thank them for all the services they have done. they are heroes without war, maybe I am wrong, they are not at war with humans but a deadly virus, which in my opinion is even more dangerous.

Although we cannot celebrate National Doctor's Day face to face, we can still celebrate it through live streaming on YouTube held by Radiodistik Jakarta. There, we pray for the doctors who are struggling to cure Covid 19, and also at the same time celebrate the Youth Pledge Day which is on 28 October.

Youth Pledge Day is a day when Indonesian youths commemorate the Youth Pledge
The Youth Pledge is a major milestone in the history of the Indonesian independence movement. This pledge is considered as a crystallization of the spirit to affirm the ideals of the establishment of the Indonesian state.

The Museum Building commemorates the II Youth Congress
What is meant by "Youth Pledge" is the decision of the Second Youth Congress  which was held for two days, 27-28 October 1928 in Batavia (Jakarta). This decision affirms the ideals of an "Indonesian homeland", "Indonesian nation" and "Indonesian language". This decision is also expected to become the principle for every "association of Indonesian nationalities" and for "to be broadcast in various newspapers and read before the meetings of the associations".

Here is the text of a Youth Pledge:
Pertama:
Kami poetra dan poetri Indonesia, mengakoe bertoempah darah jang satoe, tanah Indonesia.
Kedoea:
Kami poetra dan poetri Indonesia mengakoe berbangsa jang satoe, bangsa Indonesia.
Ketiga:
Kami poetra dan poetri Indonesia mendjoendjoeng bahasa persatoean, bahasa Indonesia.

What I can learn from today is that we must respect the struggles of others, especially the heroes and people who contributed to our lives. we have to thank them and always pray for them. I took it from National Doctor's Day.

And Youth Pledge Day ignites the spirit of Indonesian youth to unite to build the nation. although we are different, but we are still one country, nation, and language, nothing can divide us. We as young people, especially students, must learn to pursue knowledge and develop the knowledge we have for a better Indonesia. That is what Indonesian youth should be.
